South Texas Adoption Lawyer
Stepparent Adoptions | Private Adoptions | Termination of Parental Rights
If you are looking to build your family through adoption, or you want your new spouse to legally adopt your children from a previous marriage, you want an experienced attorney to guide you through the legal process. An adoption can be a joyous event for almost everyone involved. The process can quickly become complicated, though, resulting in undue stress and anxiety at a time when you should be celebrating an addition to your family. You want an experienced, assertive, and caring lawyer to protect your interests.
At the Law Office of Mark B. Jones, we have protected the rights of people in south Texas since 1993. We understand that every situation is unique, and that each client has individual goals. We will take the time to listen carefully to your questions and concerns, and to learn the specific details of your case. We will keep you fully informed of all your case’s developments, as well as your options going forward, so that you always know where you stand.
At our office, we have a strong commitment to personal service and attention. We strive at all times to minimize your stress and anxiety and give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing your legal concerns are being addressed.
Our Adoption Practice
We offer comprehensive counsel to parties involved in adoption proceedings, including handling stepparent or relative adoptions, adoptions related to Child Protective Services cases, and private adoptions. We do not handle foreign adoptions. We will be your liaison with all parties involved, from birth or custodial parents, to adoption agencies.
We will prepare and file all necessary documentation to initiate or complete the adoption process, including any paperwork necessary to bring about the termination of parental rights to the child. We have the experience to handle voluntary or involuntary terminations of parental rights. When necessary or appropriate, we will work directly with Child Protective Services (CPS) to complete the steps necessary to finalize the adoption. We will also represent you in all court proceedings necessary to complete the process.
